Do you have Schrader Valves or Presta Valves?



It could be important for you to know. 

I didn’t know tire tubes came equipped with anything other than Schrader Valves until I recently bought two new tubes for my bicycle.

Surprise!  When we pulled the tubes from the boxes, they had air valves in them unlike any we had ever seen before:  Presta Valves.  Needless to say, the Presta Valve not only looked different, the Presta Valve equipped tubes could not be aired up with a Schrader Valve air chuck.

Fortunately, it was an easy fix.   For a couple dollars, I was able to purchase Presta Valve adapters.  The adapters screw right onto the Presta Valve.  Then, using a Schrader Valve air chuck, you can air up and get back on the road!
