Delaware LP/LLC/GP Franchise Tax Filing Deadline Closing In
This year is passing by like a speeding train! It’s
May 1st, and the filing deadline for Delaware GP/LP/LLC franchise
tax filings is 31 days away.
If you haven’t already done so, you may well be doing
yourself a favor by paying your Delaware LP/LLC/GP franchise tax sooner rather
than later. While the filing deadline is June 1 st, we highly
recommend that you arrange to pay the tax at least a week before the
deadline. Delaware LP/LLC/GPs are so numerous that if you wait
‘til the final deadline, you may find that the State’s online payment services
are disrupted or unavailable. Technical difficulties will not excuse you
for filing late. The penalty for late filing is $200 plus 1.5% interest
per month on the unpaid balance. Additionally, failure to pay will prevent the
company from obtaining a certificate of good standing.
We can assist you with our secure payment link to the
State. Not only will your franchise tax be electronically filed, our site
will provide you with an order number and receipt. Once our customer
service representatives receive your order, you will receive a copy of your
PAID invoice and, if paying via credit card, a copy of your sales draft.
Paying by credit card, vs. check or electronic bank transfer, is advantageous
because it will allow your tax payment to be filed immediately.
Additionally, filing your franchise tax through our EZ File link will add
your franchise tax payment to your Order/Billing History record, for future
reference.
Just login to your online account, using your email address
of record. If you have more than one company linked to your email
address, your company list will appear in the “Select a company” dropdown
window, when you select the EZ File option. If you need assistance with the EZ File process, please contact
us.
