Win Some, Lose Some

Now that most of us have satisfied our obligations to Uncle Sam for our income tax liabilities, we can take a moment to catch our breath and do a little light reading about some questionable tax deductions (free registration required). Folks as creative as this should focus their energy on forming a new business in Delaware so they can take advantage of some legitimate benefits of being incorporated!

Pat Tillman

Pat Tillman was a great American.
Our entire armed forces are volunteer these days. Whether you agree with the use of force in Iraq or not, we must recognize the sacrifice of the soldiers.

Many of today’s volunteers joined the National Guard to get ahead by earning education money. Some gave up lucrative careers to go fight.

Either way, those that give all to protect our liberty deserve our respect.

Working Overtime

The United States Department of Labor has revised the overtime rules for American workers. The new rules put in place a $100,000 ceiling for most overtime protections and make it easier for employers to deny overtime to within some professions.

The new rules are available at the Department of Labor Website.
The new rules have caused quite a stir. See Googles results for a recent search here.

If you are employing labor in the United States you must keep abreast of these developments.
