Consultants Opportunity Spotlight

The State of Israel is holding a preliminary conference for those interested in helping them establish and operate job centers as part of the reform for the integration of long term recipients of Subsistence Allowances into the employment market ("Welfare to Work").

I can only assume that they are trying to copy the "Welfare to Work" program we implemented here in the United States.

During the Preliminary Conference there will be a review of the program, a presentation of relevant legislative changes, threshold requirements, the financial model and other information relating to the subject matter of the tender. In addition, an estimated timetable for implementing the program will be presented. The majority of the Preliminary Conference will be conducted in English.

The Preliminary Conference will take place on Thursday, 22nd January 2004, between the hours of 08:00 – 18:00, in Jerusalem.

Attendance at this Preliminary Conference is solely on the basis of prior registration.

This certainly sounds to us like a great opportunity for an enterprising welfare consultant to make a buck and do a good deed at the same time.

More information is available at http://www.moit.gov.il/root/hotbar/Mehalev_od.htm (Scroll down for English).
