Mortgage Lender Helping Borrowers Stay Home

A mortgage lender has recently teamed up with an employment agency.  Their goal: assist jobless borrowers to obtain employment and avoid foreclosure.

Fifth Third Bank has teamed up with NextJob  to help delinquent borrowers, who are delinquent due to a job loss, with tools ranging from counseling to refining their resume.  FifthThird Bank is investing about $1,500 per participant to keep  people in their homes, versus a $60,000 investment to foreclose and remove them from their homes.
