Banco Delta Asia named Money Laundering facilitator

Banco Delta Asia, (Google it), located in the Macau Special Administrative Region of China has been identified as a threat for money laundering by the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FINCen).

US banks will be prohibited from maintaining correspondent relationships with this bank once the red tape is cleared. It would appear the bank has ties to North Korea.

Paris Hilton tormentor pleads guilty

One of the young hackers that obtained access to Paris Hilton's online account and information with T-Mobile pleaded guilty yesterday.

This is a good chance to revisit security for any company that makes account information available over the web. The same warnings apply to any company that handles sensitive information whether web based or not.

The Washington Post presented a good article about how these types of attacks are not always technically sophisticated last May. It turns out, your biggest security threat may be your own employees lack of training.
