IRS Closed June 14

Due to the current budget situation including the sequester, the Internal Revenue Service will be shut down on Friday, June 14, for a furlough day.

How does this affect Delaware Intercorp’s services?  We will not be able to submit EIN requests to the IRS on June 14 because all IRS offices will be closed.  The Apply for An EIN Online service will also be unavailable. That means that we will lose a processing day.

We are still happy to receive your SS4 form  – the extra day will give us the opportunity to review your form for completeness so that we will be ready to process EIN orders without further delay when the IRS resumes regular business.  The next business day is Monday, June 17.

The Delaware Division of Corporations is open, so all of our other services can be processed as normal!
