Schedule C-EZ Change Implemented by IRS

Believe it or not, it looks like the IRS wants to make it easier for small businesses to file a simplified expense form.

The business expense threshold has been doubled to now be $5,000 for eligibility of filing form 1040, Schedule C-EZ. Check with your accountant to be sure that you are able to take advantage of this new service that could potentially affect over 500,000 small business and save hours of time and paperwork woes.

Read about the change in the IRS newsroom where you can also find a link to the 2004 Schedule C-EZ and Schedule C forms in .pdf format.
