The next Chancellor of Delaware’s Court of Chancery is...

Last week, Delaware attorney Andre G. Bouchard was unanimously confirmed by the Delaware State Senate as the next Chancellor of Delaware’s Court of Chancery. Bouchard replaces the Honorable Leo E. Strine, Jr., who was sworn in as Chief Justice of the Delaware Supreme Court in February.

The Delaware Court of Chancery is the leading forum for resolving the disputes of Delaware corporations. The Court’s sophisticated and experienced jurists have a deep understanding of Delaware corporate law, which has given rise over the years to an extensive body of judicial precedent for sound corporate governance. Bouchard, due to be sworn in within the next 30 days, will become the 22nd Chancellor since the Court’s inception over 200 years ago
