APPLYING FOR AN EMPLOYER IDENTIFICATION NUMBER (EIN)

I am often asked if a US Tax Identification Number (Social Security Number, Individual Taxpayer Identification Number or Employer Identification Number ) is required to apply for an Employer Identification Number.  The answer for those internationally based individuals who have never had reason to obtain one  is ‘no’.  In this circumstance, parties may simply report this fact when applying. All other parties must provide a US Tax ID.

How does one obtain an EIN? While applicants with a US business address and US Tax ID number have the option to  submit online with the IRS, those that do not must apply via phone Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Eastern time., fax or mail.

If you need support with securing an EIN for your company, look no further!  Delaware Intercorp can file the necessary IRS SS-4 form for you when you purchase our EIN Procurement Service for a value price of $70.00 at the time we form your company  or $100.00 afterwards.
