Introduction to Help Your Business get into Social Media

If your business is not using social media, you could be missing out on the opportunity to interact with 400 million potential clients. There are many social media sites and more are coming into existence all of the time. Over these next series of posts we will be talking about our recent experiences with social media and hopefully introduce social media if it is something new to you.

The well established cornerstones of social media are Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube. These websites bring businesses together with other businesses, potential clients, and current clients. What are these sites? Here are some short answers:
· Twitter is a site where all communication is done through a short amount of text called a tweet. The concept of this site is very basic and user friendly.
· Facebook was created by Mark Zuckerberg for college students. Facebook business pages allow a business to network with loyal clients.
· LinkedIn is a professional connection site. The site creates “links” based on employment, interest, and career.
· Youtube is a social media site that connects through videos. This media allows more of a face to face communication.

We hope that these series of posts should provide insight on how to create your own social media presence for your business.
