Delaware Division of Corporations 2010 Statistics Revealed in Annual Report

Just released today! Delaware Secretary of Jeffry Bullock reports on the State of Business at the Delaware Division of Corporations:

Growth in 2010

  • New Corporations incorporated in Delaware: 28,181



  • New LLC's formed in Delaware: 82,027


  • New LP's and LLP's formed in Delaware: 6,362


  • New Statutory Trusts (f/k/a Business Trusts) formed in Delaware: 1,263


  • Delaware Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) filings and searches: 352,705


  • Delaware IPO: 76% of all new U.S. Initial Public Offerings (IPOs) were incorporated in Delaware


    • With 20% growth in the first three months of 2011, we have experienced 17 consecutive months of growth since the national economic recovery began
    in late 2009. Other strong signs of recovery include a nearly 10% increase in UCC transactions as credit markets begin a gradual return to normal levels.
