Proposed Federal Legislation Ramps Up Disclosure Efforts With Respect to Foreign Assets

Disclosure of beneficial ownership for entities formed in the US is a hot topic these days- but it isn't just US entities that are being called into question. This pending bill, currently referred to the House Committee on Ways and Means, is aimed at disclosure of information related to foreign entities and assets.

HB 3933/SB 1934
To amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to prevent the avoidance of tax on income from assets held abroad, and for other purposes.
