me v, business

I am following Harvard Business Publishing on Twitter. This is one site to make all employees of a business take a step back to learn. One article that they had recently was about delearning. This article made me think about school and work. There is so much useful information that I learn from school, that will help me in the future. Then there are things in school that I have to delearn when it comes to my job. No textbook that you study and no matter how many tests you take on a subject to learn the information will help you if you just learn it. There needs to be some type of application to the outside world. My point is it is better to learn the information that will not help you to have new knowledge that can be used.

I like that article. I especially like the quote: 'Although it isn't easy, executives should shed their fear of the unknown and display childlike enthusiasm for radical ideas.'
I think I have that 'childlike enthusiasm' down pat!
