Lums Pond State Park, Delaware

Built around the largest freshwater pond in Delaware, Lums Pond State Park, in New Castle County, offers an outdoor activity for everyone. Whether you want to picnic for the day or camp through the weekend, the recreational opportunities abound! The pond is popular for fishing, canoeing, and kayaking (boat rentals are available). The park also has hiking & nature trails, ball fields, and even horseback riding.



Interested in volunteering to help maintain the park? The Friends of Lums Pond, Inc., a Delaware non-profit organization, aims “to unite with others of like interest in order to make positive changes to Lums Pond State Park and to encourage greater utilization of the park.”
