This may sound like a dream come true, but it is definitely no handout. Your ideas will be scrutinized by a panel of small business experts, Forbs.com editors and readers. If you'd like to compete, be prepared to describe your plan in 500 words or less, including:

  1. A description of your business and why your business is worthwhile investing in

  2. A description of how you would use the $100,000 to "boost your business"

  3. Current financial status of business (revenue vs. profits, for your most recent fiscal year), and projected revised financial status after winning and investing the $100,000 prize.
