Va. Mulls Statewide Flat Tax For Communication Services

I love the idea of a flat tax.

Get rid of all of the forms, credits, deductions, fees, etc.

Simplify.

Reduce the time and expense in collecting taxes, and reduce the time and expense in preparing taxes.

Everybody wins, right?

Check out this article that ran in the Washington Post yesterday:

At first glance, I thought this article did support a flat tax plan, after all it is right there in the title!

But after reading more carefully, I think the should change the title to

"Va. lawmakers look for new and creative ways to pull the wool over your eyes"

After all, we are just talking about another consumer tax that comes in flat tax clothing, right?
