Delaware Code Online

Every so often, I talk with clients who would like to do some research with the DE code before they make a decision about incorporating or forming an LLC.

They have the right idea about staying informed, but they don't know where to find a copy Delaware laws. Everyone is always pleased to learn that they can view all of Delaware's Code online for no charge.

All codes are available- not just those related to Limited Liability Companies, Corporations, and Partnerships.

You can also view a copy of The Delaware Constitution.

Hi Russ,

It is great that the Delaware Code is online, and available to people that way.

There is a benefit to looking through the old-fasioned paper version though. It has annotations, with case names on it, and those can often act as jumping off points on interpreting what a section may mean.

But having the Code in front of you, even without those annotations is a good thing.

Isn't the Constitution of the State of Delaware that quaint document that outlaws gambling?

And don't we have slot machines at the casino racetracks in Delaware?

I wonder how many times we can assault this document that way before it loses its' meaning.
